I've used the shirts from this brand and they are ok. Nothing wrong with them. They are cheap and cotton. Throw them away after a year, I think you are ahead here

How Gildan is still in business is beyond me. One of my favorite jokes about them is from a satire site — The Hard Times — and the headline said, "Gildan exec admits he's never actually seen a human torso." There's another one where Gildan said they've added a third, extra scratchy tag. Their shirts are so ill-fitting and uncomfortable; I can't imagine wearing their underwear.
